Hmmm feeling weird writing this blog...after my A'formosa Tri 07

i think i did not do the things that is need for this tri. As usual last minute prep and training. A good thing i did not give a estimate on the sunday's performance as i had really nothing to guage on.Anyhow its just a prety normal tri for me..

Swim was a mess, as usual ...its either going the wrong way or cramping or hitting someone..was one of the last to came out from the darn swim... but it is a darn good thing to stay positive. Like Samantha drew a flower and i, a smiley to instill a happy thought ...1st transition was messy as i took my time this time to gather my breath and nutrition. Heck i didnt even jump on my bike ... all i did was leg over ,clip in and then on seat , clip the other.... yeah that slow...

but once bonded witht the bike everything was just zoom zoom at 36++ average... one thing i can say .. is that position is indeed very important. not more to comfort but aerodynamics.
Simply put it, go low n flat while still breathing and spininng.. :) i was pretty motivated to do good on the bike as i had thoughts of my beloved dog who passed away 1 months ago.. that thought alone made me into a kick ass cyclist..that dog changed me alot.. he made me into a better person... i dedicated my 07 Aformosa tri for him...

So, on with the story, indeed it is very important on the actual ride where people is drafting each other that you do not get on your aero if your using clipons as you got no trust on that person unlike ur club rider's

i caught up with the pack on my 20th kilo. knowing i still got reserve for my run. however knowing my body cramp's are always there when i stop. Salt is pretty important in a tri as ur body uses electrolytes aka salt to send msgs to ur muscles regulate its contraction. without it it goes OT... so there i wasted few mintues standing there while people look at me " why this fella standing there?" COZ I AM IN PAIN AND I AM CRAMPING LAH ....i thought to myself..

Anyhow my idiot neighbour 104 is a real dick head which does not know how to park his bike.taking all my space ..i bet thats is how he park his car as well....

oh well run was good.. i felt strong.. but those pacesetters are fast.... i did maintain my run quite well & happy i did it in less than 1 hr.. as again had no expectation. Run was interesting as well... as i could "draft" the faster runner for short period of time from the strong headwind....

yeah it did make things interesting that i was running beside a IRAQI...a swimmer..! and it is his 1st tri... so we gave good encoouragement while running but in my mind i tot..." i dont think he can hide a bomb under his tri suit ler...." but we finsihed the line together thus making it memorable.

Thus after everything.. is it worth it doing it since 1999.. for the 9th time... think its good to have good "Annual Check-up" several times a year as its ...i think to sum it , or connecting the DOT would be linking my childhood days where i was kicked out from home and thus i went out exploring with my bike... man the freedom ... curiosity and the trill of exploring the neighbourhood.. with a trusty bmx.... then during one night.. while after the 8.30 sitcoms.... there was this Gillette World Sport Special where the view of Kona Hawaii Triathlon , made its debut... and perhaps Triathlon found me.... as my a part of my destiny.......
